Rules and Policies

ATTENDANCE/MISSED CLASSES: Attendance is crucial in the progress of the class and the dancer. Dancers are allowed to miss no more than 6 classes per year, regardless of the reason for the absence. Anyone missing more than this amount will be subject to dismissal from class. Students need to consider their other activities/work schedules before making a commitment to dance. There are no makeup lessons or prorated tuition for missed classes.

DRESS CODE: Hair pulled back away from face. Pink or tan footed tights. Leotard or tight fitting top. Boy shorts or ballet skirt. All shoes must be purchased from the studio. NO jeans or jean shorts.  NO jewelry. 

ACRO DANCE DRESS CODE/CONDUCT:  Hair must be pulled back away from face.  Leotard or tight fitting top.  Boy shorts or leggings.  NO jeans or jean shorts.  NO jewelry.  NO tutus or skirts.  NO tights or shoes.  Please come to class with clean, dry feet as we will be bare feet for class.  If there are any foot medical issues with your dancer (ie cuts or scrapes needing bandage, warts, athletes foot etc) we will encourage socks and/or ballet shoes be worn until issue has cleared.  Absolutely no tumbling will be allowed in the lobby or in the studio before the instructor starts class.

PERSONAL CONDUCT: Please be on time for class and wear the appropriate attire. There is no smoking on the premises, this includes the parking lot; any student observed smoking on premises will be expelled from the studio. The use of alcohol or drugs is never acceptable and any student suspected of being under the influence will be immediately and permanently expelled from the studio.

CANCELLATIONS: In the event of bad weather, cancellations will be posted on our website and also posted on our Facebook page, you will also receive an email. There may be other unavoidable cancellations during the year (due to teacher illness, etc.); you will be notified by telephone in this instance. If we are able to schedule a makeup class we will do so. But we are not required to makeup every canceled class.

SUSPENSION/EXPULSION: Kaleidoscope Dance Studio reserves the right to ask a student/family to leave the studio for failure to follow studio policies, or for any reason they see fit.

FEES: You will be billed monthly. Payments are due the first of each month; September through May. It is your responsibility to pay your fees on time. Accounts that are not paid on the 8th, 16th, and the last day of the month will be subject to a late fee. This policy will be strictly enforced.  (Please note: Fees are not based on the number of classes per month. EX: one month may only have three classes, others may have five.)

DISCOUNTS: Are automatically applied to families with multiple children enrolled in classes.

RETURNED CHECK FEE: There will be a $35.00 fee for returned checks, and you must make all subsequent payments in cash.
